It is with great sadness that we announce that the śp. Most Rev. John F. Swantek, the fifth Prime Bishop of the Polish National Catholic Church, entered into the eternal rest of the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022.
We give thanks to Almighty God for his years of ministry as a Priest within the Eastern Diocese, Bishop of the Buffalo-Pittsburgh Diocese and Prime Bishop of the Polish National Catholic Church from 1986 to 2002. In these roles he has touched the lives of countless members of the Church.
Details of the celebration of the Requiem Vespers and the Funeral Mass:
Vespers will be celebrated in Scranton Cathedral where the Primate Emeritus will lie in repose and will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 2022;
The funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Cathedral.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
Wieczny odpoczynek racz mu dać, Panie. A światłość wiekuista niechaj mu świeci. Niech odpoczywa w pokoju wiecznym. Amen.

In your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
deliver them now from every evil
and give them eternal rest.
The old order has passed away:
welcome them into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever. Amen.
Sunday, November 1, 2020 All Saints Day
Monday, November 2, 2020 All Souls Day
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
On Monday, November 2nd, we celebrate the feast of All Souls. On the day after All Saints, the Church reminds us of those who have passed on. This feast is an opportunity for us to pray in unity for our relatives and friends and also for those who have no one to pray for them.
As Catholics, we are obliged to attend Mass on All Saints Day, November 1.
Day after, November 2nd, All Souls Day is not a holy day in obligation, however, we are obliged to say a prayer for our departed relatives, and if possible, to visit their graveside.
Our departed family, friends and acquaintances will be remembered in the All Saints Day and the All Souls Day Masses.
I hope that you will let us include your deceased loved ones in these Masses at Our Saviour Church. Please download and use this form to list the loved ones you wish to be included in these Masses.
May God Bless You
Fr. Mariusz Mularczyk
